Startling News, 2006

This work exists both as an installation of 21 drawings in ink and pencil on paper and as 8 different sound piece s. In the drawings, I portrayed characters from popular magazines that publish outlandish stories about people from around world. They are a celebration of these ostensibly fantastical individual oddities and give them elevated significance. The sound pieces are imaginary stories inspired by that type of literature.
